The Proliferation of Technology in our Colleges and its Impact on Students of Color

The use of technology in our classrooms and throughout our college campuses has surged over the last several years, fueled in large part by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it’s true that this surge allowed many of our colleges to respond to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 successfully, this experience has also led to what some faculty describe as an over-reliance and blind-acceptance of technology without considering its impact especially on students of color.
