22:23
Hello Antonio! Nice to meet you. I probably was not at Southwest then :)

22:45
Thank you Chris! Happy to be on the team. :)

23:05
Michelle, that’s so cool that they named a college after me!

23:36
Welcome to the team, Lia!

25:27
haha!

26:19
BRB

30:41
Can other colleges use these icons?

30:47
For art courses that use low cost materials/textbooks, but students are required to purchase art supply, do you still mark those as low-cost?

31:13
Will you share this presentation with us? We have just formed a workgroup at Cuesta

31:17
@nancy, the ZTC icon is useable statewide.

31:23
MPC is struggling with indicating ZCT and LCT in the schedule. We have an old system so its making it harder

31:46
@Laurie, yes, this presentation will be archived and shared (with slides) on the ASCCC OERI website.

32:09

32:36
@Bianca, do you know if your low-cost logo has a CC-BY or another open license for reuse?

32:47
Thanks, Heather and Bianca!

32:57
Yes, it does. We created it.

33:33
what did IA stand for?

33:45
Inclusive Access

33:56
@Renee and @Parisa I'm going to flag your questions for the Q and A.

34:17
Thank you Heather.

34:33
@Michelle, I think they are referring to Inclusive Access.

34:55
Correct, IA = Inclusive Access/WebCodes

34:56
thanks!

35:10
What course reg system was the search screen taken from? What is Peoplesoft SIS?

35:31
SMCCCD uses Banner system

35:55
Thank you. It looks very user friendly!

37:11
I’m working with some faculty with adoption of OER etc right now, its been interesting to say the least

38:47
One challenge we have is relaying the copyright differences between ZTC behind a Canvas shell and true OER that can be shared with the larger college community

39:48
@Elle copyright is such a hard concept to explain. Especially when you talk about Creative Commons Licensing

39:50
Yes @Elle, © is an ongoing conversation within ZTC. Including it in professional development workshops & information sessions always generates robust conversations!

42:28
Here at College of Marin we will be doing an OER unconference in spring. Let me know if this is a topic you'all would like to explore or present on. I'd working on the rfp now.

42:50
Thank you Elle. That would be wonderful.

42:59
@Elle, please keep us in the loop

44:38
Our bookstores also provide some copyright and fair use support.

45:12
Wow. I love they support you in that way!

45:49
Our Bookstores have been some of our biggest advocates! ❤️

47:49
Having a good bookstore relationship is a key factor I feel newer folkx in the OER space overlook. Thanks for mentioning it.Having copies on course reserve in the Library is also a nice "print" solution that supports accessibility as well.

48:16
Re “Inclusive Access” - some skepticism there

49:02
Curt, your sounds is not coming through clearly

49:09
Is it just me or is Curt sounding like a squirrel

49:13
no

49:14
No

49:15
no

51:24
If you have a question can you use a raised hand? I'll try and call on folkx as I see the hands.

54:58
Isn't Banner made by Ellucian?

55:11
I think so, Curt, but it's a different implementation

55:12
I believe, so @Curt

55:30
Ah. Thank you!

57:29
English is a tricky beast. Lots of materials contained within the canon that are still in copyright. One solution we are looking at here is framing modern/current authors (which aren't under embargo) as a way to introduce comparative topics in English. Then use low cost ebooks or ztc course reserves as a supplement.

58:10
You may find this document from the CO helpful when discussing what is a “required instructional material”.

58:23
Perfect, thank you Ryan

58:28
See pg 3

01:00:07
@Ryan & Bianca, thank you!

01:01:35
I feel as if this is the one thing we keep running around in circles with

01:01:36
Thank you!

01:01:46
Thank you! This was informative and efficient. I have to leave.

01:03:21
Re English OER: the tight area is lit, not English in general.

01:05:11
Bianca & I co-facilitated a CalOER presentation in August on Cultivating Your OER Village, here’s the link to our slides: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1NHQTRnfUWwp3n_VALpBJXzCEq9TP0O-H4v0Fo3ju56A/edit?usp=sharing

01:05:59
Thank you Ame.

01:06:13
Take it to the BOT and leverage OER as part of any equity plan your college has to ensure scalability as well as sustainability

01:07:52
To help students with identifying the ZTC courses, we also have a separate section in our schedule of classes. This way if students are not aware of what the icon means or simply don't see it, they can see all the ZTC courses in one place in the schedule.

01:08:02
Thats smart

01:08:12
Thanks All!!!

01:08:19
Los Angeles Southwest College

01:08:39
See you at the next OER conversation!

01:08:48
Thank you for the presentation.

01:08:50
Thank you!

01:08:53
Thank you!

01:08:55
Thank you!

01:08:56
@Parisa, we do the same at Skyline in a Library LibGuide: https://guides.skylinecollege.edu/adoptedoer

01:08:57
Thank you! This was really informative and helpful.

01:09:01
Thank you very much@

01:09:03
Thank you

01:09:13
Here’s today’s slides: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1XpgOvP5yVHLWFthiPWYbYRqWCA37JzWTM5Xs1Mv5ZKs/edit?usp=sharing

01:09:14
Thank you! Have a great weekend!

01:09:24
Many thanks, this was very informative!

01:09:32
Thanks so much!

01:09:42
We have a dropdown in our searchable catalog that lists all ZTC and OER classes. Cheers, all
