Thanks so much for providing this forum!

18:47
can you provide a link to the most up to date DE language with regard to fully online, partially online, etc.

19:57
How about a cape!

21:00
Yes. Give me a few to get that for you and I will get you a separate link, though will be on the slides also.

21:35
Thank you so, so much Marty for getting 3C Media funded again.

21:41
Perfect!! thank you so much for all you do.

21:48
This is my first year serving as a DE Coordinator (crying emoji). Thank you for all of the resources.

21:51
The CVC-OEI has a resources webpage at cvc.edu/resources. Information is now organized by user.

22:41
Hi Angela! I see your crying emoji and raise you one covid mask emoji hahaha

27:52
We are editing our DE Addendum for curric approval to keep it current and I think it is asking the right questions to get enough information about how the course will meet requirements, like for accessibility and effective contact but I'm a little nervous we are not getting enough information. Are there any good DE Addendum examples out there?

29:07
Where can we find resources to help faculty adapt their face-to-face exams into an online format?

31:28
Lisa, can you please scroll the questions so we can all read them?

32:00
Yes, plese...or provide link to document.

32:07
*please

32:11
@Cathryn - Have you looked at the “Faculty - Keep Teaching” section on this CVC-OEI webpage? https://cvc.edu/resources

32:55
@Cathy: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jwIgNHaixZ4xeuB3NzzvU_viVIGqewItkpDE-NOH0oc/edit

32:55
Here is the document being shared on screen: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jwIgNHaixZ4xeuB3NzzvU_viVIGqewItkpDE-NOH0oc/edit?usp=sharing

33:00
The resources developed by @ONE, including the courses and materials on the website, are extremely important to the quality of professional development on our campuses. How are these being promoted?

33:05
Awesome! Thank you!

34:49
Will the @One registration fees be waived?

34:54
Thank you so much for that support, Marty!

35:43
The link to the Google doc is great, thanks!

35:46
We have the link now to the google doc

36:33
Good question!

37:07
Our college has adopted @ONE courses. We are currently offering these courses to prepare faculty to teach online in the fall

38:21
So I guess colleges that have rigorous local certification requirements for teaching DE have a lot more work to do in coming up with their PD plans required for the blanket DE addendums.

39:44
Yes yes!!!

41:06
We will come back to all of your questions at the end of those listed. Thanks, everyone.

42:12
When we voted to apply for the Blanket DE, we also waived our training requirement for the summer. But we are offering our training class during the summer and are encouraging Fall instructors to complete it.

43:23
We are offering one now and one in the summer.

46:38
What is the expectation for training/preparation for correspondence vs DE?

46:55
Is it permissible that a college Curriculum Committee, place on the course outline of record, an indicator that course will only be taught online in the event of an emergency?

48:16
Thank you, this is very helpful!

49:19
Some of us have had all those in a single year!

50:32
Could this funding include live captioning as well?

51:00
Is Marty speaking about DECT or Tech Connect? This needs to be clear

51:11
Ah ok

51:23
Hi all - you can also apply to DECT directly for funding for your captioning needs: www.canyons.edu/captioning

51:34
But live captioning is only via DECT, not via Tech Connect

51:35
DECT will cover costs for both live and delayed

51:39
Thank you! So we will be able to request through TechConnect again?

51:52
@Tracy that is NOT what TechConnect is saying, no

51:58
For live

52:11
DECT will also cover professional development

52:22
TechConnect directed us to College of the Canyons

52:28
Do we use only the DECT grant process to access live captioning services?

52:42
YAY for PD captioning funds!

52:53
Meghan - DECT will cover your costs for live and delayed captions and transcriptions

53:05
@James G-G I know it might be challenging but it would be amazing if DECT and Tech Connect could work together on a unified message

53:23
Jim - we're trying!

53:31
Thanks man!

55:34
You can skip mine, it was sort of answered in another question.

56:05
What is the other kind of delivery besides DE or correspondence that people were worried about?

57:05
Was Monday's webinar recorded and posted? If in the Vision Resource Center, where?

57:40
jhetts@cccco.edu

58:14
@Kelly--many f2f classes are now being taught via "remote instruction," but this is not a recognized mode of delivery. We can't schedule courses this way beyond this semester. They will need to be considered distance education and meet all DE requirements.

58:28
@Scott. Yes it was recorded and posted in Vision Resource Center.

58:43
Good to see so many friends here! I've got to run to another meeting. Thanks CCC DECO and EVC Alvarado!

59:15
Is it possible to relax Title 5 reg related to Flex hours carry-over into the next fiscal year? For example, extra hours accrued for "experiential" and prof development learning beyond faculty 2019-20 flex obligation.

59:25
@Johanna. Where in the VRC? Been looking. Maybe I'm just not finding it.

01:00:52
Monday and Tuesday, the first two days of our new Spring term, we’re catastrophic for us.

01:00:56
elarson@cccco.edu

01:01:00
Do you need more voices confirming zoom issues?

01:01:13
Wow, Erin & Marty, get ready for a lot of email lol

01:01:26
We are experiencing this as well.

01:01:31
@Scott - https://visionresourcecenter.cccco.edu/

01:01:48
@Jim -Just another day...

01:02:05
Because yes, the zoom connections this week, especially Mon-WEd were untenable after having used it with no problem for the previous three weeks. The security measures they updated over the weekend seems to have created issues. I had to re-schedule all my meeting appointments for the semester to reset the settings

01:02:58
I wonder if there is any talk about building a new app with a more user-friendly and nimble interface? We just can't recommend the current one to faculty.

April 13 Webinar Lin: https://cccpln.csod.com/phnx/driver.aspx?routename=Social/Topic/Posting/DiscussionPostingDetails&Posting=5068&Root=72

01:03:50
In case there are questions that arise around Canvas storage capacity, local Canvas administrators can adjust storage capacity. Please tell your faculty to be mindful of uploading multiple Zoom recordings — those are likely better stored elsewhere, such as 3CMedia and linked to Canvas.

01:04:01
@Tracy, you mean the Zoom interface in Canvas?

01:04:11
Thank you, Michael!

01:04:26
@Joanna--yes.

01:04:27
By when would we know if CO will extend the Proctorio contract beyond 6/30/2020? If it won't be, it will require our immediate effort to vet other tools now.

01:04:34
@Jory or better yet, just use the cloud recording capability of ConferZoom!

01:04:55
Not how can they adopt, Lisa, how will the state support increased PD through @ONE

01:05:00
:)

01:05:15
Looks like the OTD 12 week courses are all full already

01:06:27
Thank you, Lisa…

01:06:59
Question in Chat at 12:51 from Meghan Chen - funding for Proctorio?

01:09:30
Ally extension would be great - hesitant to implement it now with such a limited window to get folks using it - but knowing it would be available at least through the year would really help.

01:11:27
Thank you so much, Marty!

01:11:33
Although, @Jim Julius, noting the inaccessibility is only the first part of the equation. We need to be able to fix it, too…We need more state resources to help us with this, and more trained accessibility remediators

01:11:49
info@cccco.edu

01:11:51
Yes for sure, Lene’

01:13:10
Thank you - this is very helpful!

01:13:13
is it possible to push VRC community posts to email?

01:13:16
Thank you so much for all of this!

01:13:39
I wish we could be clear though on whether remote instruction classes - which are DE only temporarily and in an emergency mode - are held to the same accessibility standard as planned DE classes. My understanding is that resources that are placed online for a limited time and specific class are only absolutely required to be accessible if a student in the class requires accommodation

01:13:40
Thank you, Marty for your time.

01:14:17
Really appreciate you, Marty, DECO leadership, and CVC and @ONE leaders -- just amazing!!! And all of you - I miss you :-)

01:14:25
Thank you for this webinar
