Is there a reason to keep question text formatted with Heading 2?

Improved accessibility - as per the accessibility guide for this question type.

What is the downside if the format was just Normal in the question text?

You're going to confuse anyone who is using a screen reader.

Keyboard accessibility is not that great if we do not use H2 for the question.

It won't stand out as something separate from all other text.

One of the biggest issues with interactive exercises and homework systems is accessibility - OERI and LibreTexts have both been actively working to address these things.

Can we just program Heading 2 as the default format for the question text field, then?

I am not saying that ONLY Heading 2 can be used for the question text, only that it is the default setting that can be changed.

can you show us how to implement this in LibreText?

@Ming - I think the point is that there is no “clean" default. If you default to H2, then the user has to deal with changing the style for any other text. It sounds like they debated it and deemed this the best way to do things.

@Michelle, I understand what they are saying. However, if you want to encourage accessibility, then why not choose the default as Heading 2. If I don't have examples that need to switch to Normal, then I don't have to do anything else. The current situation require that I change to Heading 2 always.

Both correct and incorrect ones. How is the scoring done then?

Incorrect answers will result in a "-1" score. So 1 correct and 1 incorrect answer means a score of 0

Selecting multiple answers is only available when multiple answers exist

Great question Suzanne. We love to use Drag the word, but then learned that it's not accessible.

@Patricia: yes the answer choices are case sensitive. Including alternative answers with both cases might be ideal. Or to include instructions about case in the activity.

Could you show us a “part 2” activity? How would that appear to a student - part 1 and part 2?

What is your recommendation about a maximum length for this type of activity?

Maybe the retry can retain the correct answers, if that can be programmed.
