Thank you Harriet. The ical export does not load to my work calendar.
A second invitation is fine. It would really help
outlook at many K12
AVC also uses Google
SBCC uses Google
SBCOE uses Outlook.
In my Zoom, you can do something like "different calendar" and it does both, I think.
I will correct this and make it happen in Outlook!
For K-12 in any county on a watchlist, we have to be online unless a waiver is issued for TK-6
Oxnard Union High School District: On-line learning with the hopes to return to hybrid model for lab meets
VC is about 94% online with only some CE lab programs and a few science labs on campus
Santa Barbara Unified is implementing fully remote, online learning. We are monitoring the requirements from our state and county to see if we can begin a hybrid model.
Thanks for updates all.
Thank you everyone
Ojai Unified is also doing what SB Unified is doing
Congrats Laureano! All the best!!
At OC all didactic courses are online. CTE programs including Auto, Culinary, and Dental labs are in person with social distancing and safety measures. Some science labs are also in person to accommodate the dental hygiene pre-requisite requirements.
Laureano will need a clone! Congrats!

With courses being online, is cross region collaboration an alternative for contract ed? For example, if LA has a program that may support industry needs in our region could this program be promoted here? Or ideal a new program should be developed within regional resources?
Thanks, Luann, we appreciate whatever info you and Giselle provide. :)
Please mute if you are not talking - thank you!

Did you address the WestEd Pathways work - is that the resource item that Giselle mentioned, or something different?
Hi Diane yes it is. WestEd is doing the pathway work
Thanks, Giselle. :)
Glad to clarify 😀
Luann, is that the info we will get at engagement sessions?
yes it will be provided
Lu - are you anticipating additional guidance from the 8/26 meeting or simply overview?
8/26 CCCCO Webinar is posted on our website at: https://sccrcolleges.org/event/strong-workforce-program-and-perkins-updates-webinar-from-chancellors-office/
We hope we get additional guidance - we as regional chairs have pushed for that.

QUESTIONS FOR THE CO REGARDING SWP MEMO OF AUG 4, 2020
Please explain the cost associated with this virtual conference.
ACTE VISION is also going virtual from 11/30-12/4, including 300 on-demand sessions $250 plus $100 for some pre-conference sessions. Region V 2020 will be virtual on 10/29 (one-day), and hopefully back F2F April 14-16, 2021 in Lake Tahoe - more details to come.
@hARRIET, Will the leadership conference also provide recordings to sessions in the event there is a schedule conflict with a session?
California ACTE is looking to hold a morning session, including post-secondary RDs??, in November with state updates, since there will be no fall CTE Conference. Again, more details to come.
@ Diane: Thank you!
My pleasure, @Margaret! Lots going on!
Jen KG, Ventura College
no problem :)
@Holly, AVUHSD would be interested in ag biotech, also
Hi Diane, great news. We have mapped out a stackable credential program leading to an AS.
Sounds wonderful, Holly - interested to hear more.
There will be a similar event for the Antelope Valley - working with the LA County Dept of HR - no date set yet.
I agree with Margaret re: noncredit
Yes, it is helpful to hear about noncredit.
The region will host an Adult Education meeting on November 6th from 9 to 11. A Save-the-Date and Zoom link coming soon.
Regional Adult Education Engagement Mtg - Nov 6 9-11:30am: https://sccrcolleges.org/event/sccrc-regional-adult-education-engagement-meeting/
And a number of us are involved in adult ed, as well, so this is helpful
Is JSPAC really keeping the conference face-to-face?
I have a zoom I am hosting at 11, so I need to go. Thank you everyone for this collaboration!
I have another meeting, also - thanks for all of the info, Everyone. Have a safe and restful weekend!
I have another call at 11:00. Have a great weekend.
