When will the dashboard have data for 19-20 and 20-21?

Is there discussion between CDE and the Chancellor's Office to collaborate so we only have to have our K12 districts, charters and COE's upload their data one time to satisfy the needs of both entities (CalPADS and CalPASS)?

Bright—Unfortunately there are no current conversations between CDE and CCCCO to allow joint uploads. They are separate systems. The original plan was to sign a MOU with CDE and share the files between state agencies, but that has not happened.

Which category did you use for Drill Down?

The data for my LEAs was incomplete so I have not used the dashboard yet, but I hope to be able to make a series of pie charts for K-12, CC, and LMI to show if there is alignment between completers and jobs available by sector in the county.

Ravinder: Thank you for responding! That's a real bummer! It is super difficult for our small, rural schools (where one person is responsible for numerous, major jobs/tasks) that don't have the time to do multiple uploads because major entities are unable to collaborate to come up with a solution to streamline data for both CDE and CCCCO. Hopefully, a resolution can be achieved soon to relieve the extra time needed for those in the K12 system to meet the demands of both systems:-)

Can these be categorized into macro regions or we can just sort by our micro regions? Could I pull a CSV for the entire North Far North Region or do I need to pull CSV for Greater Sac, Northern Inland, and Northern Coastal?

@Sarah—your pie charts are great. We do have the SWP and CCP dashboards that have industry sector and employment information. The K12SWP dashboard will def grow as we get R1 and later rounds tracked into post secondary (for CCC students) data.

@Ravinder, it would be great to have a place on the dashboard that pulls from the 3 different dashboards to to comparisons

Yes, Sarah, the plan is to match k12 swp students with our CCC data and track their student experiences and hopefully into employment as well.

It would also be super cool if we could toggle the graphics by different demographics as well 😁

And toggle the sectors by the K12 labels or CC labels since we don’t have exactly the same sectors. It is nice to be able to change the labels by who we are talking to (K12 folks or CCs)

Sarah—That would be cool. We are limited by the current UI design but there are opportunities to wireframe the K12SWP dashboard differently. We’ll try to remember to contact you.
