Kevin Walcott
51:59
if the incident is before census can we drop a student for behaviors or do we have to go through the process?
Ginger Holden
54:53
No, faculty do not have the right to drop students for misconduct. You would need to report the student to Student Conduct.
Kevin Walcott
55:34
thank you
Amir Assadi-Rad
56:33
OK, thank you.
Charlene Nunes
59:06
I know other colleges have 'zoom' tests where the instructor can watch the students as they take the test. But I don't think we can....?
pamelawhitehead
01:04:38
All helpful information and glad I attended. Thank you!!
Alla Gamarnik
01:05:32
Did you mention that a professor can give zero points for the assignment where cheating took place?
Ginger Holden
01:05:51
No, I will talk about that point, All.
Ginger Holden
01:05:57
Alla!
Charlene Nunes
01:06:01
Alla, I have that actually written in my syllabus!
mgreen
01:06:55
Might there be a considerable amount of under reporting?
Charlene Nunes
01:08:38
interesting, thank you Ginger
Ginger Holden
01:09:25
I believe most faculty handle misconduct as part of classroom management, so not all incidents of cheating or plagiarism are reported.
Alla Gamarnik
01:09:26
How can students challenge a lowered grade? What is the professor is wrong? What is the recourse for a student wrongfully accused of cheating?
mgreen
01:10:19
Wholeheartedly agreed Ginger
Ginger Holden
01:10:28
The student would need to submit a Petition to Change Grade form in order to have their grade reviewed.
pamelawhitehead
01:14:33
So I would attach assignments?
Alla Gamarnik
01:34:54

Alla Gamarnik
