25:21
Thank you, Jory!

25:25
Amazing work...thank you Jory!

25:38
I also brought my festive hat today!

26:00
Sparkly!

26:42
60 online 40 in person

26:57
80/20 on campus (80 includes hybrid)

27:00
That’s likely going to change due to enrollment

27:00
Saddleback will be around 55% online, 45% online for spring, 2022.

27:01
LASC is about 20% in person. Student demand is driving decisions and planning

27:02
50/50?

27:02
Roughly 50/50

27:06
The latest I've heard at American River is 30% in-person

27:06
MiraCosta: 55% of classes are fully online (synchronous or async) and 45% have some in-person (including hybrid). But fully in-person is filling very slow.

27:07
Grossmont: 68% in person

27:09
65% online

27:09
Hartnell is going to be about 50/50. They are trying to increase above 50% F2F

27:11
Orange Coast College 70 on campus 30 % online

27:13
roughly 50/50

27:14
60% online

27:14
And for Glendale, it’s 50-50 but with certain divisions almost 100% in-person

27:15
SJCC: 70% in person, 30% online

27:15
Citrus College aimed for 70% f2f and 30% online...has adjusted to 60/40

27:17
Las Positas: Was 60-40 on campus, now 50-50

27:19
We are going all in person except for approved DE courses

27:19
Generally 50/50

27:20
College of San Mateo -note sure — 50/50

27:22
City College of San Francisco: 70% (online/remote) and 30% in-person. However, the in-person classes are not filling and we are considering shifting to online/remote.

27:30
Status quo for winter quarter; 85% of Spring 2019 f2f enrollment for spring quarter

27:33
Mission College: 60/40

27:33
Yes, exactly, Cynthia

27:33
SDCCE noncredit 25% on campus, 75% online. HyFlex classes will increase from 30 to 60 classes.

27:37
Southwestern College: 60% online/live online & 40% onsite

27:42
Echo what Cynthia posted about SF

27:57
Sac City ~30% FTF 70 DE

28:26
Chabot: Originally planned 60-40 on campus, now closer to 50-50

29:08
We're about 65%online/35%on ground and ditto what Cynthia Dewar said.

31:22
Feel free to add questions to chat as they come to mind. I’ll gather them up and we’ll have a collective Q&A once each of our speakers has presented.

33:58
Curious that Ally and Otter.ai are gone? We still use Ally...

34:30
Ally’s centralized funding has gone; if you’re still using it, your institution is now funding it.

34:50
Ahhhh...got it. Thanks.

36:08
Does your rubric include 504/ADA review? If so, could you please share your rubric?

36:38
Ally is now among the applications offered via the new STAC program through the Foundation: https://foundationccc.org/CollegeBuys/Systemwide-Technology-Access-Collaborative-STAC

39:23
@Kristi, we will be sure to ask Jodie your question when she concludes.

39:36
@Bob: Any update on if Canvas Studio will be paid at the state level or possibly end up on the STAC list?

39:48
Does the Digital Procurement Rubric also factor in equity considerations?

40:32
Great question, @Scott. Studio has become a dependable and valued resource, and its disappearance would be detrimental for sure

41:12
On a leadership note, does CVC sponsor project management software? such as Smartsheet? As a DE Coordinator, I'm leading several instructional technology pilots as well leading DE strategic planning, er rather imagine planning.🙂 Our college is in the process of selecting project management software to assist with the recent growth in pilots and implementation of new software. Thanks!

41:22
Who reviews the rubric/application for a new tool? Also, who controls the funding?

42:06
Thank you, Jodie! Very informative!

43:05
Thanks, Jodie!

43:36
@Ingrid - that’s a good question and a good insight. We recently conducted the STAC survey to help inform any product additions. That one didn’t come up, but I’ll pass it along as good input.

43:44
This was extremely helpful, Jodie! Thank you!

44:28
@Jory, Thanks for passing along my question!

44:51
@Wendy. Those tools still live...just not at our college :)

46:27
Thank you @Jodie! I got worried!

46:35
To Scott and others, as I think you know, our statewide license for Canvas included Studio at no added cost through June 2022. At present there is no funding identified to continue "free" use of Canvas Studio past that date. Although this may change, I recommend that each college using Studio have a plan for licensing Studio or another video tool.

47:36
Thanks for the response, Bob. Is it understood at high levels that Studio is VERY popular and helpful?

48:43
@Kandace — the case continues to be made and CVC is still advocating (but doesn’t currently have the funds). I think one of the challenges (rightly or wrongly) is a perception that colleges are currently flush with cash.

49:03
How many districts have a district DE Coordinator?

49:26
Do any of the rubrics include required It support?

49:29
Thanks, Bob. It’s comforting to know that it’s being advocated for.

49:37
Thanks, Bob. On a positive note, Canvas just announced that it will allow Classic Quizzes to be used until June 30, 2024.

50:02
@Scott - that’s a relief!

50:16
@Scott V, thanks for the good news!

50:20
Foothill equity affirmation: https://foothill.edu/onlinelearning/online-equity-affirmation.html

50:40
@Dave Dillon, the Contra Costa CCD has a districtwide dean of distance education who co-chairs the districtwide DE committee, among other functions.

50:45
Peralta Online Equity rubric: https://web.peralta.edu/de/equity-initiative/equity/

51:23
@Dave Los Rios does not have a district DE coordinator

52:10
RCCD has a District-wide Dean position. https://www.rcc.edu/catalog/2021-2022/i_district_pages/d_rccd_admin_curr_chairs.html

53:55
Thanks for your feedback!

55:00
@Ingrid: To assist with project mgt, you might also consider Basecamp, ClickUp, Teamwork, Slack, Microsoft Teams (esp if you already have a collegewide Office 365). There are plenty of options and everone seems to have their favorite. Hard to pick just one.

55:12
@Jessica: Who checks the accessibility of tools, and is it a college or district function?

55:43
@Bob, thank you for PM software recommendations.

55:59
I’m curious on average how long it takes to adopt a tool from beginning to finish with all the different groups that need to review/contribute and the testing.

56:54
@Jessica. Such great information. Thank you for sharing!

57:06
Really great presentation Jessica!! I think many multi-college districts are in the same boat, and Los Rios is either doing many of these items (e.g. accessibility and privacy/FERPA review of LTIs), but it's extremely helpful that you shared where you are at because we're having so many of those same discussions internally right now

57:35
anyone know what studio will cost after June 22

57:50
@Scott as of now, it’s the responsibility of the requestor of the tool—sometimes that’s me and sometimes it’s an instructor. But we do have resources for helping faculty with the process.

57:56
Studio quote at $1.30 per FTES.

58:12
Thanks, Jessica.

58:12
@Ksmyth: $1.30 per ftes

59:07

59:09
Note Re: Studio — the price is outlined in our existing contract with Instructure. So no need to get a separate quote. 🙂

01:00:09
@Jory. Thanks for that clarification, Jory!

01:01:50
Thank you

01:04:55
I'm sorry I have to leave for another meeting, but will catch up with the recording.

01:08:12
I think the more pressure to make accessible products we all put on vendors, the more we will see them dedicate resources to this.

01:08:23
@Jessica - so true!

01:08:35
Yes, this is so helpful. Thank you. I have to leave as well.

01:08:40
@Jory re: Studio - The STAC will be open late Spring, yes? Will we know by that time if we need to find funding for Studio ourselves?

01:08:43
Sorry all..I need to go. Please send me any questions you might have. I've shared my presentation. Happy Holidays!

01:08:54
Thanks, Jodie!

01:10:06
@Kathie - We’re planning to open the STAC purchasing window earlier this year. Currently that’s planned for March 7, 2022.

01:10:33
Look for an announcement in mid-February.

01:11:02
Jory I'll need to go back through the contract and read it again, but is Studio based on total FTES or active FTES? When we contracted directly with Instructure for Studio before it was provided we were only paying for active users (10k license)

01:11:08
Thanks, Jory! That earlier window is helpful!

01:11:36
Would it be possible to have CVC support on vetting technologies and publisher content for equity and accessibility? It requires a significant amount of resources from the colleges. An ongoing list of already-vetted tech and publishers would be so helpful to share with our system!

01:11:37
Thank you, Kristen!!! Awesome!

01:11:38
Thanks to Jodie, Jessica, Kristin!!

01:11:39
Thanks for great presentations!

01:11:45
Thank you. Very helpful.

01:11:47
Super helpful!!!

01:11:55
Thank you!

01:12:03
@Ken: Will have to look that up. Justin on our team (jschultz@cvc.edu) is great w/ contract details and related questions, btw.

01:12:06

01:12:15
