We have Word Press on the Go Daddy host site. Easy to use.

So many hosting sites can be overwhelming. How does one know which to pick?

I will always always always recommend WordPress over any of the other options, though it does have a learning curve. But you ultimately can do more and pay less for it.

Is the domain name a one-time purchase or do you need to renew it annually?

I recommend using a registrar like NameCheap, because it tends to be a LOT cheaper than when you go through a host like GoDaddy or Wix.

That's what my club does. Well, without the dash.

the reason founder region has a dash in their name is because we couldn't get ownership of the original name.

Is there a tutorial about how to include the donate button link on our websites?

WordPress is a serious problem when you want to find someone to take over doing the website after a couple of years. Try to pick one of the easiest to use possible!

The easiest way is to set up a PayPal account. If your club is listed on Candid, you can get a PayPal Giving Fund account that'll make it very easy. You just copy the code from PayPal's website

A problem with using YouTube is that when they come to the end, they might then go directly into one of my family YouTube movies, as they are all on my personal YouTube Channel. Any ways around that?

Once you have an SI website, you can get an email address associated with that email. Open a YouTube account with that email, and it keeps everything separate. All nonprofits qualify for Google for Nonprofits and can get free "Workspace by Google," which includes email addresses, YouTube accounts, and so on.

we have a members only section for our club roster, meeting minutes, etc. We have a password to get in.

Also useful for any other private information, like Zoom links so you don't get people popping in who aren't members

We use MEMBERS ONLY (password protected) for any forms that they might need; the press release f form or check request form for instance. We keep the roster there as well as ByLaws.

I'd love to know what other Soroptimists think of sidavis.org (the one I maintain).
