This is such a great idea!

21:34
Where is the Maybe choice.

21:40
Hi. I answered the questions and hit SUBMIT several times. Unsuccessful.

31:11
will you be sending us this presentation

31:16
Will this PP be on the FR website?

33:04
By “not link to the paper” do you mean PDF?

41:08
can you recommend hosts

44:17
We have Word Press on the Go Daddy host site. Easy to use.

44:57
So many hosting sites can be overwhelming. How does one know which to pick?

45:00
I will always always always recommend WordPress over any of the other options, though it does have a learning curve. But you ultimately can do more and pay less for it.

48:42
Is the domain name a one-time purchase or do you need to renew it annually?

49:38
I recommend using a registrar like NameCheap, because it tends to be a LOT cheaper than when you go through a host like GoDaddy or Wix.

53:36
what about si-clubname

54:03
That's what my club does. Well, without the dash.

55:34
the reason founder region has a dash in their name is because we couldn't get ownership of the original name.

01:01:17
Is there a tutorial about how to include the donate button link on our websites?

01:01:40
WordPress is a serious problem when you want to find someone to take over doing the website after a couple of years. Try to pick one of the easiest to use possible!

01:02:24
The easiest way is to set up a PayPal account. If your club is listed on Candid, you can get a PayPal Giving Fund account that'll make it very easy. You just copy the code from PayPal's website

01:02:42
Thanks!

01:02:57
^_~ Or you can hire someone like me who does WordPress websites for a living

01:03:29
I've been doing code too long. But I'd be happy to hire out!

01:03:34
*waves* Support your fellow Soroptimists <3

01:03:54
Our club has a webmaster that donates her time to us

01:07:11
Can we get the color palette and the font information? Thanks!

01:08:18
https://soroptimist.imgix.net/05-for-members/recognition-and-branding-tools/branding-style-guides/SIABrandingandStyleGuidelines.pdf has colors and fonts for Soroptimist and its programs

01:08:51
thanks Meredith- and thanks for adding the link

01:14:17
Is the Online folder in Members Only area?

01:14:47
I have the SI color on a sticky pad on my desktop. I use it so often! #518bc9 — I almost know it by heart!

01:15:20
Same here!

01:27:09
Note that Wix does NOT support Anchors

01:27:24
(from external sites)

01:28:53
thank you, good to know. I do use Wix, but as I said not my favorite on the rescue I manage.

01:30:37
A problem with using YouTube is that when they come to the end, they might then go directly into one of my family YouTube movies, as they are all on my personal YouTube Channel. Any ways around that?

01:31:44
Once you have an SI website, you can get an email address associated with that email. Open a YouTube account with that email, and it keeps everything separate. All nonprofits qualify for Google for Nonprofits and can get free "Workspace by Google," which includes email addresses, YouTube accounts, and so on.

01:31:57
*associated with that website domain, I mean

01:33:02
Thank you!

01:35:33
Thanks! Learned a lot! Gotta go.

01:38:08
we have a members only section for our club roster, meeting minutes, etc. We have a password to get in.

01:38:37
Also useful for any other private information, like Zoom links so you don't get people popping in who aren't members

01:38:39
We use MEMBERS ONLY (password protected) for any forms that they might need; the press release f form or check request form for instance. We keep the roster there as well as ByLaws.

01:43:25
I'd love to know what other Soroptimists think of sidavis.org (the one I maintain).

01:46:55
I'm based in Petaluma, which is why I am here :) I used to be in Davis, and there's no club here ;_;

01:47:14
Thank you Meredith for the link.

01:47:16
Wow! Nice looking! I am going to explore this a bit!

01:47:24
Would you like to start a club in Petaluma? We would love to have one there!

01:48:11
I did seriously think about it before the pandemic! I don't know if the Petaluma Women's Club would be serious competition or mutual friends

01:49:54
Haha, that's why I need to ATTEND that class!

01:51:27
Thank you, very informative. Good evening and Happy Thanksgiving.

01:51:52
Thank you for inviting me. Very informative

01:51:58
Thanks for this session! It’s wonderful to see what you all are doing and how you are supporting your clubs.

01:52:28
