We are in direct conversation with the CSU and UC Chancellor's Offices about this work and working towards agreements. That is also an element of the Collaborative outcomes.

Good question Teresa. CPL awards credit for previous college-level learning gained outside of a college classroom. CBE focuses on enabling students to earn credentials by demonstrating mastery. A good brief recently published by California Competes is posted in the VRC CBE Forum.

Great question on teaching and learning support for CBE. The Collaborative Program Syllabus includes a module that invites colleges to participate in a CBE Community of Practice (CoP).

The new federal regulations for CBE does allow for some credit-hour courses effective July 2021. Institutions are trying to figure this out. Thanks for the great presentation! Laurie Dodge
