Wondering who all has a Student Health Services Program?

We have a Student Health Center at Bakersfield College

We have one as well at CCSF.

Is Mental Health and Basic Needs in the Student Health Center at your colleges?

Ohlone has a student health center https://www.ohlone.edu/healthcenter

They are in separate areas

It is housed under Student Health & Wellness at South Orange County Community College District

We have Student Health Services and a Basic Needs Services. They are separate but I am curious about integration of these programs/centers

Cerritos - Mental Health is under SHS, Basic Needs is under Student Affairs (the Falcon's Nest, will be presented today)

Rebecca, the Basic Needs local plans and websites on February 1 are not “due” to the CCCCO—only the plan in Nova at the end of the fiscal year, correct?

How do you get grocery cards approved from your district? Our district will not allow it bc people could potentially buy alcohol with a grocery card

Danyel, the gift cards we get from our local grocery store automatically have an alcohol & tobacco restriction.

Rosa, what grocery store is that?

We will ensure the link gets out to all participants. We will post them on the CSSO website for quick access.

How often can students access the pantry? Is there a limit on how many items they can recieve?

Currently access is once a week, but if a student has higher need we will consider. At this time we have not had a supply issue.

Are the items mostly donated?

our suppliers are Food Finders and the LA Regional Food Bank (for our outside distributions and our market, two separate problems)

Hi Danyel, we are requiring students to agree and sign that they are not to purchase alcohol/tobacco when they register for the food pantry, and need to show receipt after they purchase food to receive another card

can you go back to the last slide or a second?

All the food is donated, we have purchased some hygiene items to fill in gaps and ensure we can meet the needs of all students (i.e. hair types/textures)

Adrienne, this is with Vallarta grocers. Upon requesting an invoice, we let them know we need alcohol & tobacco eliminated and also let the student know that if they tried, it'd be restricted at the registered. Vallarta has a list of the Card#s associated with our college as well.

And is the Health Services director also on the CAIR team, as I believe the SHS role is public health/population health
