For SF21, is it possible for CO to specify the DED which data elements (SF01 thru SF17) are required for the each levels of edits? It will help us to collect data from the colleges in an efficient way.

Does SF21- GT-Basic Needs Grant have any edit checking with the new SG23-Basic Needs Status?

Student purchases with the discount a bus pass through the bookstore - Student did not interact with the Basic Needs Center. Does that student need to be reported SG23 XX1XXXX or is SG ONLY for students who interact with Basic Needs Center?
Steven Chan
01:20:09
Does SG23 require enrollment to be reported?
Betty Glyer-Culver
01:20:27
in the sg23 basic needs reporting just want to confirm that students can be 'counted' in more than one category.

01:21:02
for SX05, does this need to match COR for any distance education courses?
Dulce Delgadillo, NOCE
01:21:19
OR are these the hours of attendance internally tracked?
Denice Inciong
01:25:30
@Steven Chan - SG23 does not currently require enrollment as the domain for the SG file allows students to be reported if "(4) received a service from one the college’s categorical programs" so they may not have enrollment in the term.
Denice Inciong
01:26:15
@Betty Glyer-Culver - Yes, I believe the intent is to be able to report students in more than one category.

For SG15, the current data mart SG report does not show SG15 if they were not enrolled. From the last webinar, it was discussed that as long as SG15 student receive services, it is eligible to be reported without any enrollment. For data validation purposes, the SG data mart report does not reflect what the college submitted.

The special populations report uses * Student headcount status STD7 of A,B,C, D, E, F, and G is used for student headcount so it doesn't currently catch the students who only received services.

Some of the services coded as "Basic Needs" are already baked into some other coded programs such as EOP&S. Will students coded to a program that provides those services also need to be coded for each specific service they receive?
Steven Chan
01:32:15
@Denise understood... I am hoping the CO will add a new column for headcounts (enrolled or not)… we have hard time submitting RFA without counts.

Is this instruction of incarcerated students should be reported as SG04 = ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’, ‘5’, or ‘6’ (as appropriate based on facility of incarceration) and SG15 = ‘1’ still valid with the new definition change in SG15?

Summer '22 reporting elements are "Optional" or Required?
Antonio Trep - Ellucian Banner
01:35:41
SG23 specifically seems like we are building the submarine while submerged

01:35:42
Thanks Steven that makes sense. Hopefully he new report will help with that and it will help validate data submitted.

Does the SA report continue to exist and need to be reported annually still? There was some discussion at last year's COMIS webinar that the SA report would be discontinued at some point given the addition of SL and AA annual reports

For credit for prior learning, should we include credit for courses taught at a high school for college credit?
Deepa Prasad
01:42:43
The SA07 removal would be applicable even to prior period reporting of the SA file, if/when a CCC needs to report SA for a prior year (given that SA07 removal is effective this year Oct 1 2022 submission for Jul'21 thro Jun'22 period)

01:47:41
when will the 2022-2023 Data Submission timeline be posted online?
Antonio Trep - Ellucian Banner
01:48:27
Follow up on Credit for Prior Learning answer you just gave to Gabrielle Stanco:Your answer was courses taught at HS for college credit should be reported in SY (I'm assuming as SY02 = Z) but you gave clarification last year that course work taken at other colleges prior to enrolling at the reporting community college should NOT be included in SY. Aren't both Credit for Prior Learning?
Antonio Trep - Ellucian Banner
01:52:14
Ah … Thank you - so Credit for Prior Learning not based on Post Secondary work - thank you
