Trustee Agbalog, the BOT recently had a meeting to give the chancellor discretion to make decisions in an emergency. What does this entail?

fantastic article in NY Times re: CA unemployment processes in C-19:https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/25/us/coronavirus-file-unemployment-ca.html?referringSource=articleShare
I love that we are finding creative ways to get "hard to transition" classes to alternative formats. I especially love that our focus has been on helping to make our students feel super supported. Thanks for sharing, Kris!
What a great way to think of this, Tiner. What a quote.
Excellent work everyone! I love the zoom breakout room concept.
"exploit limitations" absolutely right.
Love the idea of "letting the times guide them"
For some students we are their safe place...

Now that the public schools have declared they will not go back until at least May 1, has there been any official word about the remainder of the spring semester at BC. Are we online for the remainder of this semester?
I am so proud of our Allied Health students on the front lines!
If some schools in Bakersfield are out until May 5, do we know how long BC may be out?
We are there
Well done Tony! CTE!!
Go nursing students! We are all so proud!!,,
Thank you Sonya!
Dr. Nicky Damania
@Sondra, we are monitoring the situration and provide updated information as it comes
I sometimes worry that programs like choirs and performance groups will be placed way on the back burner because they can't physically meet right now. I know lots of creative ideas are out there (like Kris mentioned) and we're still transitioning and adapting. I wonder if we know of any initiatives that have come up that will address the Fine Arts specifically?
Thank you to all of the speakers. We greatly appreciate your input and advice
Thanks to Todd for MC-ing these
