Michael Ashton
30:54
Hi Eddie, when the Annotate feature is enabled, there is an option that says "Text".
Nenagh Brown
31:04
Morning everyone! Nenagh checking in here just to say hello and HURRAY that you are all there! I wanted to promote the FACULTY ONLINE HELP NETWORK that we now have set up. After Rena's amazing session do feel free to reach out to one of these 30+ faculty who have volunteered to work with their peers on an individual basis as you make this all work for your specific classes. Rena has the list - or do email me and I can forward the list to you.

Hi, Nenagh! Thank you for the info =)
Trey Demmond
34:41
so we need to think not only about our desktup reveals but our room background as well!
Michael Ashton
35:32
Good point Trey! Situational awareness takes on a whole new meaning when working with conferencing tools.
Deanna Franke
38:05
That happened to me yesterday because I recorded on my computer instead of the cloud
Trey Demmond
38:14
How does the teacher control student questions (i.e., how does the student raise his/her hand digitally)?
Deanna Franke
38:24
look on your computer to see if it was recorded on the computer
Michael Ashton
39:26
Hi Trey, I'm looking around for that option on my end but am not finding it. I'll bring your question to Rena in just a moment.
Deanna Franke
40:38
Trey, my students mostly used chat to ask and answer the questions they have or that I give
Trey Demmond
41:54
Regarding video/audio lag time: buy a very fast computer! Since most of us can’t do this ASAP, perhaps relying on separate streaming of media inside canvas (or other) and use zoom for discussion?
Deanna Franke
44:51
yes

Trey Demmond
45:44
Is the raise hand the question?
Michael Ashton
46:21
Click Participants and then you will have options like "Raise Hand", Yes", "No", "Need a Break" etc...
Eddie Beltran
47:47
Hi Andy!
szaldivar
48:01
Yes I saw those options when you click on participants and I assume once we are the manager we can click manage participants
Michael Ashton
48:23
Hi all, Yes, as the instructor, you will have an option that says "Manage Participants". When your Participants "Raise their Hand" in zoom, you will see a hand icon show up next to their name in your Manage Participants window.
Eddie Beltran

szaldivar
53:16
Is it the same url every zoom you do?
Roberta Brodie
53:44
I have the Zoom app on my phone. Can I access my ConferZoom account there as well once I get one?
Michael Ashton
53:44
The work phone number would be the best option to include in the Phone number field when signing up for your ConferZoom account.
Robert Keil
54:43
roberta, yes I believe so
Trey Demmond
56:12

Thank you!

It may be helpful to start and end each meeting with a 10 minute buffer. It will give time for students to log in and to answer questions after.
Michael Ashton
01:10:50
Hi Erik, that is a really great idea!
zstudent
01:11:06
I know you can recorded your lecture locally (on your computer). What are the file sizes like?
Robert Keil
01:12:23

Erik Reese
01:13:04

I teach music fundamentals - a music notation reading course: Can I overlay a white page with notation staves (a set of 5 horizontal parallel lines)?
laurenc.snowden
01:17:11
Michael, this might be random but would you know how to edit my display name? I saw Rena thought my name was Laurence because of the way my middle initial is in there.
Robert Keil
01:18:12
lauren, you might try seeing the profile tab in the My Account.
