Did the trailer bill language change at all from this 5/25 document?

38:15
@Kenley - I haven’t seen any new language, but we’ll ask Erin to comment

43:49
Jim—does Mira Costa have an agreement with the third party math program and does the college ‘own’ the data?

43:56
@Kenley - no new language so far

44:03
Thank you Erin

45:58
Jim, what criteria is used to validate remote proctors?

46:53
Thank you Jim!

47:11
Thanks, Jim!

48:34
You’re welcome!

48:57
We’re fortunate to have it, for sure!

49:56
Yes, our district has been discussing it forever as well. It has started to get some traction now that our center won’t be doing placement tests any more

50:13
What if they are not your students? Can your college assessment center charge a fee for that?

50:35
Bob, LeBaron has been saying over the years that it is not acceptable.

50:42
TBH though our Center has been doing so.

51:03
Proctoring Network will take care of that

51:09
Bob - I think we charge for students outside our system (UC, CSU, private, out of state, etc) but not for students within our system

52:23
Kenly, do students sign any sort of wiaver? We had some concerns about the full disclosure if asking them to use a webcam. ie...children/others in the background.

52:52
ProctorU?

53:08
Good question, Amanda

53:55
The cost of NetTutor just went up :(

54:22
Isn’t there a waiver in the ToS agreement when students use Proctorio?

54:34
I think it’s baked in.

54:45
Thanks @Brett - that

54:52
that’s good to know

55:19
Thanks Brett. Does anyone have a college/district created waiver/disclosure. This has been a very robust discussion with our DE committee this semester.

56:12
Yes, we need an option for remote paper/pencil exam proctoring!

56:46
We have no use of online proctoring (e.g. Proctorio) here - I guess because everyone that has assessments that require proctoring uses in-person Proctoring Center.

57:11
perhaps we can have folks representing assessment & proctoring centers present at a later date.

57:48
Agree, Jodie, especially as Proctoring Network is rolled out.

57:55
We are piloting Proctorio this summer and then make it available to all online faculty for Fall.

58:15
Kelly, do you have a web page that describes your proctoring service?

58:44
http://www.sbcc.edu/distanceeducation/proctoringinfo.php

58:57
@Jim. That would be helpful because while I’m aware of these services, it’s not under my management as DE Director.

58:58
Thanks!

59:18
Kenly: It's disclosed to students before they register that the webcam will be a required part of the course?

59:29
Agree, Jodie - I’d be surprised if any of us have this under our area

59:38
I think it’s 3 years in AWS encrypted

01:00:04
We only have this page: http://www.sbcc.edu/distanceeducation/proctoringinfo.php

01:00:49
a webcam should be under “student materials” as a requirement to be successful in the course.

01:01:09
Yes

01:01:37
We just place it under “instructional materials” so it shows up in the bookstore order

01:01:47
Perfect, thanks

01:01:48
Where we track material requirements

01:03:30
I think that prices will continue to fall as we scale up.

01:03:30
It is a fee and all fees have to be approved by the legislature. You can change it by sponsoring legislation.

01:03:54
FCC found we had to agree on Proctorio settings because going all in slows down computers and got students bumped off. Proctorio on steroids is over the top in our experience.

01:03:59
@LeBaron - I’ll get right on that :)

01:05:49
Thank you everyone!

01:05:50
See many in a few days

01:05:51
Thanks everyone!

01:05:57
See you all soon!

01:06:00
Thanks!

01:06:03
OTC!!!

01:06:09
Thank you!

01:06:19
Thank you.

01:06:21

Thank you. See you soon.
