Improving Online CTE Pathways Webinar - Shared screen with speaker view
Are there slides?
yes on zoom
Yes Kim, you should be seeing the powerpoint slides on the screen.
Darn. I don't
will this be recorded for viewing later?
We will also post the slides along with the recording at cvc.edu/pathwaysgrant after we are done.
got it, thx!
@Kim, if you’re phoning in, you may not be able to see the slides. If you’re on a computer, the window may be behind another, if you were multitasking.
I clicked on the zoom link.
@Kim you might go to window/bring all to front.
Got it! Thanks!
All of the grant information is posted to this site. Please check back for regular updates as we update FAQs and add additional guidance.
Will the Qs asked during Drop-In sessions be posted on the website?
Will the Grant Application be available in fillable PDF also?
Nice work to CVC for creating an informative website about this process. Appreciate it!
It all seems very clear and organized. :)
How detailed do the letters of intent need to be?
at the bottom of page 10 and top of page 11 the RFA identified 3 pathways. are these the only pathways that we should target in our application?
Must projects tick off multiple “areas” of alignment? Our project clearly (!) aligns with one area, but only “sort of” aligns with 2 others.
How long should the reply to the “level of certainty” question be?
For a collaborative proposal between two colleges, should we use the Project Description section to briefly describe respective roles and responsibilities?
Do we need to document the financial budget breakdown in the letter of intent, or only the range of budget requested?
Are there any contacts at the online college we can contact to ensure our curriculum seamlessly aligns?
The RFA says no computer hardware or software. Does this extend to a/v equipment as well?
I received a forwarded email today the originated from Meridith about the Institute for the Future workshop on March 28-29. Two questions—is there more information about this workshop available (ie, when are the preconference workshops?); and two, do we have to know our entire 5-person team by Friday? Is there wiggle room to replace a member?
Excellent - thank you. Very clear.
Okay. Thank you!
who did the letter go too? CIO’s?
Can you share the link for the event
@Andrea, no link that I know of…
Under option 1, how do you define "industry-valued" certificates? How restristive is this definition?

So, will the metrics track CTE courses and programs?
Meaning TOP codes
The FAQ lists (and links to) resources that may assist colleges and districts in determining what may serve regional workforce needs: “Colleges/districts are invited to refer to the following resources: (a) CCCCO Launchboard, (b) CCCCO Labor Market Information Library, and (c) Public Policy Institute of California.”
Will the Chancellor's Office provide us with the data on the students who start their training at the CVC and continue their training at our colleges?
Is there a limit on the number of awardees?
@Justin - proposals must fall within one of three tracks, but we might want to do a combination of two tracks. Is that okay?
More information/data regarding the California Online Community College: ccconlinecollege.org
Also, if two colleges from the same district apply, is the award limited to $500.000 each or $500,000 for entire district?
This has all been very helpful - thank you.
what about really large schools? could we also apply for more than one award?
What if those two colleges sumbitted a joint proposal? Is the upper limit also $500?
Just to clarify--do the programs have to be CTE TOP coded?
Can we collaborate with the 115th?
Please say no… ?
Although our project would definitely IMPACT all CTE top codes.
Any Questions - Justin Schultz - email@example.com
Oh you will!
