DE-list serve info is there

18:18
yes

22:48
Do you have a timeline?

22:49
What is your definition of program?

23:31
Is the rubric purely for institutional self-evaluation/reflection or do you anticipate some kind of program peer review?

24:45
Institutional program, I guess. That's great!

25:17
:-)

25:56
I'm a new DE coordinator and one of the things I thought was interesting as I started was union issues. I'm realizing the DE coordinator (me), staff, and Academic Deans can get into any online class any time they want. With regard to these issues, are you looking at best practices for institutions?

28:01
@Mdanza. That's a local decision. Looking at permissions is something a district should do. Effective or best practices is TBD

28:22
I see. Thank you.

28:55
Fine to gather examples of how different institutions do this to inform your thinking. Good question for DE-ALL.

29:03
Would you at least recommend mandatory training?

30:09
Since the admin has right of assignments, we are able to recommend mandatory training if they want to receive an online assignment.

30:40
“Recommend” lol

30:57
Yep, "recommend"

33:01
kjordahl@cvc.edu (Kate Jordahl)

33:02
Kate, since we have you here . . . any idea when the Consortium application window will open?

33:32
Meridith Randall (mrandall@cvc.edu)

33:56
@Tracy Schaelen's question is important -when will the application window open?

35:17
Hello @tracy @Catherine - -There is not yet an application form available. There will be a call for a letter of interest soon with a self-assessment pack due in early 2020 and new colleges joining in mid-2020. There will be a general call for participation, but if you email me - - I will also add you to our list to be notified when the next steps are announced.

35:44
thanks! will do.

36:21
I got on the list last year for 2019. So there will be no 2019 cohort? This really causes chaos in our local planning.

37:35
which consortium is this application for?

40:23
@Luis: CVC-OEI Consortium

40:49
@Kate Has the CVC-OEI approved OFI courses for the course exchange?

40:59
@Tracy Schaelen, I too was on the list last year for 2019. It sounds like things got pushed back, unfortunately. Not sure why or what happened. I am really hoping it doesn’t get pushed back again.

41:37
These examples look great - thank you for the thoughtfulness on this!

41:43
I think this will be very helpful.

41:57
thank you Tracy

42:00
When will these guidelines be available, again?

42:01
Where is this posted?

42:42
We will be posting a draft as a google doc

42:49
Thanks!

43:55
That would be great.

44:41
Do you anticipate the guidelines being finalized after the November or January BOG meetings?

44:53
Created is referenced but what about curated... there probably needs to be a statement referencing curation of resources

45:19
DEETAC is going to give the Nov date our best shot!

46:25
Great point, Del--what are the stated guidelines regarding accessibility of third-party content?

46:26
Is this draft available for download?

47:19
@Jon It will be available as a google doc. Joanna will post the link at the end

47:34
@jodie :)

51:20
We're not able to see the document?

01:01:45
The ASCCC paper: https://www.asccc.org/sites/default/files/OE%20Paper%20Final%203.12.18.pdf

01:01:46
For a course are all sections (instructors) required to "do" regular and effective contact in exactly the same way?

01:02:38
@Steve - I don't see that requirement anywhere. I think that would fall into Academic Freedom

01:03:03
I can see that the use of the word “how” could lead to that conclusion.

01:03:53
If the DE Addendum describes how reg&effective contact "will be" achieved, it's prescriptive; if it says "may be" achieved, it's suggestive.

01:04:34
The ASCCC paper on the COR emphasizes “types and examples” in regard to a number of areas on the COR. I think we can use that language in interpreting what we’re expecting from the DE Addendum.
