Hello everyone!

54:15
Hi from Shasta!

54:32
Helpful hint you can mute yourself, then press the "Space Bar" to unmute mic, talk, then release the "Space Bar"

55:14
I suggest everyone mute themselves because your mics are on right now and we can hear everyone.

01:02:46
Sure.

01:02:58
OK.

01:03:41
What is Eluna?

01:04:17
Ex Libris Users North America — or something like that

Thanks, Lauren.

01:05:16
what happens if we don't arrive at 86 college minimum?:

01:05:42
What if ongoing funding is not approved?

01:07:46
will we be informed if our institution has completed/submitted all letters of intent

01:07:54
and if we don't join now, are we forever locked out?

01:08:29
Among the vanguard libraries, what library systems are the libraries currently using?

01:08:55
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Leganto

01:09:48
I would appreciate some information on what the ongoing costs per institution would be in case the ongoing funding is not approved. It would help our business folks make decisions.

01:10:18
The administration at my institution wants to know what kind of time resources we would need to commit to complete the transition. (I realize this would vary greatly depending on size of database and system used, but a ballpark number of hours would be helpful.)

01:11:16
We are in a consortium If we choose to do this, but still have a current contract till 2021, can we migrate with group and not use until our contract runs out? Or would we run two systems?

01:12:14
You can see the systems all colleges use on the FTS page of the ccl website: http://www.cclibrarians.org/directory/ftes

01:12:19
My dean has a non-library background and is not clear about the benefits of going with this statewide buy... Is there a list of talking points we can use to help make the case that this would be beneficial?

01:13:01
Thank you Amy!

01:13:27
repeat the information on the slide about 72 letters of intent please?

01:20:41
see it

01:20:52
see it

01:21:13
Does it interface with Colleague?

01:21:52
How many libraries are a part of the largest consortium you work with?

01:21:59
Will we get credentials to walk through this sample environment on our own?

01:22:10
What about students paying fines online or with a pin machine?

01:23:17
Can we login using our Banner credentials or using SAML? Thanks.

01:25:13
Aquisitions: Does this tie in with our vendor? Brodart? Etc?

01:25:42
May I know does Alma uses Java Runtime on the browser?

01:30:17
For the single search box, can we search by course #, course ID or professor’s names?

01:30:27
Does Alma work with Colleague? Answer Yes.

01:32:43
How is Alma scoped? Would we see only information for our college?

01:33:39
When you say "find a bibliographic record and attach an order to it", where is that record found?

01:35:04
Can orders be imported in bulk from a vendor?

01:35:06
Aquisition question: Where is the FUND information coming from? Does this mean we could somehow upload budgetary information from our college/district into Alma?

01:35:14
# of libraries at our latest customer consortium: answer is circa 120 at BIBSYS (Norway)

01:35:23
largest…not latest.

01:36:19
Ditto to Chabot Library's question regarding bulk vendor orders.

01:36:27
Credentials to sample Alma? Answer: Unfortunately, not an option.

01:37:55
What does it mean that the "central office owns the record"?

01:38:21
Who/what is "central office" in this case? is there an entity in that place for all colleges, or..?

01:39:20
The consortium's central office, I assume. Whoever pays or contracts.

01:39:41
Is there such an entity for the entire college system, i mean? or is that expected to be on a smaller level?

01:40:47
Would the CCL consortium be able to do this for us?

01:43:34
Can an "Institution" be a multiple college district? Or just an individual college?

01:44:36
Professor of Mouseology?

01:45:38
Is there a reserve module or how is a local reserve collection handled in Alma?

01:45:51
If we have local notes in our current bibliographic records, what happens to those when we migrate?

01:45:52
How is the Network Zone going to be populated?

01:46:28
Are 910 fields displayed to patrons?

01:49:04
Do we have access to Marc records without having to use OCLC records?

01:50:05
Who is importing records into the NZ?

01:50:06
What level will these rules be set at?

01:50:36
(in other words, who decides)

01:51:36
Do all colleges have to agree on these rules, or is this part of the scoping?

01:56:02
Student ID? names can be common

01:56:24
Can we have a preferred name field in the patron record?

01:56:56
I'm not seeing any breadcrumbs in this demo indicating Fullfillment, Patron Records etc. The main menu list the options but in the secondary menu I see What displays is Licenses, the first entry explored via Acquisitions.

01:58:52
Does that mean any patron in the system can request books from any of the other institutions?

01:59:35
Fines and things stay with specific institutions, right?

01:59:58
Would we be able to restrict what types of items non-local patrons would be able to access? Our reserve books, for example, should not go out to students not from our own college.

02:00:38
Are patron loads automated?

02:00:40
Are patron permissions set by the individual college?

02:04:19
Does it ask for an override password if you don't automatically have permission, or is the transaction just blocked?

02:05:13
Any chance to see Reserve?

02:05:49
+1 for Reserves demo

02:05:54
+1

02:06:13
Once the item is checked out, can we set it up so that the receipt will print out automatically?

02:06:31
yes, +2 to see reserves demo, please

02:07:39
So would we be seeing data from all the colleges in the system, or somehow in smaller groups, or..?

02:09:56
Hi all. The corsortial language is a little different than our system. As we go through the Vanguard phase this fall, we will be developing Systemwide best practices and policies. Those activities will be done with the LSP Work Groups and the LSP Governance Committee. There will be lots of communication and opportunities for input. Policies developed will rely heavily on the Vanguard experience. We will also be determine what Systemwide support will be necessary and how to best provide that.

02:10:39
Will we get technical support from Ex Libris, or the CCC system?

02:11:37
Time resources to expect for the transition? Answer: Library’s core project team members (this group’s composition is up to your library) should be prepared to spend 5-10 hours per week on the project during the implementation period.

02:12:06
Would the annual IPED report be available to us than generating by individual library every year?

02:12:36
So that would be 5-10 hours per week, for a year? Dec-Jan?

02:13:20
What's the engine under analytics? is it homegrown (authored by Ex Libris) or a third party product like SAP?

02:13:42
Yes. 5-10 hours per week from Jan - Dec 2019

02:14:11
Does Alma interface with PeopleSoft/Is Alma compatible with Campus Solutions. PeopleSoft and Campus Solutions is the sort of HR hub of all employee/student information

02:14:59
Alma works with all common ERP systems…including PeopleSoft

02:15:04
Is there an expectation that the core team members will be working during the summer?

02:15:06
Can we import existing reports? (from Voyager)

02:15:11
Can the graphs/charts be exported to Word or Excel on our desktop?

02:15:26
Can you cover the reserve module?

02:15:29
Analytics engine = Oracle Business Intelligence

02:15:39
can we schedule the reports and deliver to email?

02:15:46
OBI is included in the Alma subscription

02:16:06
what is the time delay between alma and analytics?

02:17:03
How does shared bib records work? We've done lots of customizations to contents and abstracts, will be lose that?

02:17:25
Are there "reports" that perform actions on the database? e.g. to make global bib changes

02:17:50
Same question as Robin -- fields like subject headings and content notes -- can we retain those in the shared system?

02:19:03
Can analytics do reporting based on bib data? e.g. give me a list of all records that have "foo" in a certain MARC field

02:19:23
Can we also see demo on ordering, receiving and setting up funds?

02:20:17
Could you remind me what Leganto is?

02:20:51
Where is the "Demand in other lists" data coming from?

02:20:54
A bookstore?

02:21:01
Where can we walk though a tour of Alma online? Any tutorials?

02:21:35
What about one course with multiple sections/instructors?

02:21:47
Leganto is like SIPX or Curriculum Builder. Reading list of electronic sources in library databases "appearing" in the LMS course via a reading list.

02:24:01
What about one item (book) being used by multiple instructors/courses?

02:25:29
What listserv?

02:25:39
how to get on listserv?

02:25:49
Where is the listserve how to get on it?

02:25:49
Do you have all of our emails?

02:25:59
thank you

02:26:00
Do records in the NZ replace our need to use OCLC connection? i.e, where do we retrieve the master bib records?

02:26:02
How does ExLibris comparer with OCLC's WMS' Knowledge Base?

02:26:03
The listsev is the Deans and DIrectors group.

02:26:04
cclibrarians-all, sign-up here: http://www.cclibrarians.org/about-us/mailing-list-information

02:26:06
Thank you!

02:26:10
Thank you for a great presentation!

02:26:17
Thank you

02:26:29
Got it, Brian, thanks.

02:26:29
Thank you

02:26:33
thank you!

02:26:35
Who sets the library collection policies? Thankyou!

02:26:36
Thanks!

02:26:36
Also, how do find/retrieve authority records, how are they updated?

02:27:04
Is there a way to copy catalog?
