HI! Nice to meet you.

31:32
Thank you! Welcome everyone.

37:15
How can I persuade my peers to adopt OER in their classes? Some are wary about change, of course, and others wonder if OER classes are accepted by universities.

39:00
Nick, There are a lot of webinars and videos and articles that can help with this. I suggest going to CCOER group or checking out the following I put together for my college: https://www.deanza.edu/academic-services/oer/why_oer.html

39:48
Thanks!

39:54

What is the name of this site? Open Textbook site?

42:50
Got it. Sorry.

44:05
No problem, Nick. I’m dropping the link here as well: https://open.umn.edu/opentextbooks/subjects/16

51:31
Thanks. If I click on that link, I can access these course?

52:44
Is there OER for Interpersonal Communication?

52:45
That link will give you access to the Open Textbook Library books. We have the links to all of these sites embedded into our PPT for easy access.

55:23
So the best thing to do is access the google slide link and go the the slides directly to access the hyperlinks

57:05
That is Fantastic Kristine!!! Can you share the details with me later and we can ensure that people can reach out to you directly and know about it.

58:45
that helps to know roy. thanks:)

01:05:59
I’d like to use OER but it’s hard to get other faculty involved. This seminar will help.

01:06:13
Thanks for the resources.

01:07:12
Thanks!

01:09:40
Is “The Public Speaking Project” updated every year? Can one keep an older version?

01:11:02
When we adopted The Public Speaking project we tried to buy the instructor resources and were told the main author had passed and it would no longer be updated. Is that not the case?

01:11:11
Have you had any accessibility issues with any of the OER texts?

01:11:15
Not 100% sure but have put in a word for it to LibreText

01:12:10
What has been the reaction of students to OER, besides it being free? Ptros and cons?

01:12:13
Yeah I know. That is unfortunate

01:13:13
What issues did they not like about OER? Faculty will ask.

01:15:27
For Interpersonal Comm, how what are the tradeoffs of CSU Channel Islands course versus Open Textbook Library with the supplements? [skip this question if you already answered it]

01:16:14
If you have a minute please answe this survey to give us valuable feedback to make this and other ASCCC webinars better: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/968ZMXW

01:18:07
Thanks.

01:18:29
How is this impacting your bookstores?

01:21:20
Thank you!

01:23:34
is intercultural similar to interpersonal in that it involves remixing the major books out there?

01:24:52
Thanks again!

01:25:16
Thank you!

01:25:40
Thank you!!!

01:27:35
To be clear, the website is not up yet and I was trying to get some funding to finish it but am willing to let anyone help :)
Oh, I see that now

01:27:37
Thanks

01:27:51
Thanks so much. I also have a half built website OpenComEd.org the goal of which is to provide a place to put all of the com resources in one places organized by CID. The plan is to post the links (or the actual texts when possible) provide a place for reviews and then create logins for faculty so we can share ancillary materials (test banks, outlines, etc.) but my focus is mostly on textbooks. I would love to chat with both of you more about these things. Its not real yet
