I think it's deliberately "vague" enough to allow each district to interpret it in a way that coincides with their own policies and processes

Do you have any information on the next round of commenting on the proposed title 5 changes in terms of timing and mechanism? I think there is interest in our academic senate providing a collective input but I’m not sure if/how that would work.

It is the same as the OEI. The Chancellor's Office is required to rebid grants every 5 years.

If “specific delivery method” refers to hybrid vs. fully online, it would be nice if that were clearer. I don’t think most people would interpret “delivery method” as referring to the DE format of the class.
I have another question to Erin is the grant different from OEI application?

are faculty required to hand over their course to the institution if it is to be taught by another faculty member?
I’m curious about how strict the policy is. Are all faculty required to pass training before teaching online without exception?

Were there rolling requirements for certification? I’m imagining that trying to certify all faculty currently teaching online—all at once—isn’t feasible. I’m curious how either college implemented this kind of requirement.
Start with an application to a cohort. We took 20. It was competitive. Then people start wanting it. We give out certificates "Master Online Instructor." It's become a thing. Over time, your faculty get trained.

We take applications from faculty and it turns out the numbers are manageable.
