No I hear it

22:17
No I hear it as well

22:20
there are lots of open mics

24:49
Comments were very helpful.

26:16
There are so many things that literature shows can contribute to success, how was that one thing selected?

28:56
ok thanks.

30:04
Can you share more what is in mind by “specific distance education delivery method”

30:15
How “specific” is specific there?

30:58
I think it's deliberately "vague" enough to allow each district to interpret it in a way that coincides with their own policies and processes

31:14
Is this different from OEI joining?

31:39
@DE can you be more specific in your question?

31:41
The word “specific” doesn’t seem very vague

32:28
@Jim - LOL, perhaps. I think the idea was that if someone was teaching a hybrid course that they are prepared to teach in that format, for example

32:29
Is the grant seperate from OEI?

32:51
Has the link to the survey been sent?

33:04
@Art it was

33:12
from Erin Larsen

33:20
Do you have any information on the next round of commenting on the proposed title 5 changes in terms of timing and mechanism? I think there is interest in our academic senate providing a collective input but I’m not sure if/how that would work.

33:30
Is the survey for 2017-18?

33:35
do we have the results from last years survey?

34:01
It is the same as the OEI. The Chancellor's Office is required to rebid grants every 5 years.

34:08
@Jim I don't, but I remember conversation that it was going to be presented to the AS

34:22
If “specific delivery method” refers to hybrid vs. fully online, it would be nice if that were clearer. I don’t think most people would interpret “delivery method” as referring to the DE format of the class.

34:25
I have another question to Erin is the grant different from OEI application?

34:45
@CCC DECO it was presented at Plenary last weekend, and there was a resolution in support that passed. sign

34:48
(sigh)

34:53
I received it . Thank you.

35:29
@Jim good to know!

37:19
Yay!!

37:33
(that was to Erin's announcement)

37:59
Nice, Erin!

40:30
I also discussed these proposed changes with the Chancellor's Office Curriculum Committee this morning.

40:43
How did that go?

40:58
What's the earliest the BOG might approve the changes?

42:19
@Scott - hoping LeBaron can answer that...

42:23
It went well there were questions about among students and addendums

43:21
@Jim will be happy to hear that :)

44:08
Can you tell us how many will be joining?

44:31
@Julie, we are keeping it a surprise until Tuesday at 9 am :)

44:37
Sorry, Wednesday at 9 am :)

45:28
Are we going to be informed officially before Wednesday?

46:01
Thank you

47:00
Can you put the link again?

47:10
Which link?

47:11

47:23

53:15
Do you provide the stipend to all faculty? What if they were already teaching and wanted to update skills?

53:56
Thank you!

54:02
How many times can they do training?

55:00
Can you share the details of the training (what topics are covered, weekly timeline, etc.)?

55:42
Yes, that would helpful.

56:25
I agree. We are in the process of creating a similar training.

58:15
Thanks Mike!

01:02:43
??? How do both training programs handle accessibility? Does someone say “yup, this course is accessible!”?

01:03:33
It's part of our training

01:12:03
are faculty required to hand over their course to the institution if it is to be taught by another faculty member?

01:12:06
Thanks!

01:13:23
I’m curious about how strict the policy is. Are all faculty required to pass training before teaching online without exception?

01:13:57
thanks

01:14:36
can you paste link to exhibit N plz

01:15:13
@Michael Thanks!

01:16:26
Thanks!

01:16:37
Were there rolling requirements for certification? I’m imagining that trying to certify all faculty currently teaching online—all at once—isn’t feasible. I’m curious how either college implemented this kind of requirement.

01:18:29
Start with an application to a cohort. We took 20. It was competitive. Then people start wanting it. We give out certificates "Master Online Instructor." It's become a thing. Over time, your faculty get trained.

01:19:18
thanks everyone!

01:20:14
thank you everyone!

01:20:40
We take applications from faculty and it turns out the numbers are manageable.

01:20:49
Thanks all@
