Tech Talk: Vision Resource Center - Shared screen with speaker view
Good morning everyone!
Good morning, everyone. I am monitoring the chat window. So please feel free to post questions and comments. Thanks.
The content is available in the Vision Resource Center as online interactive eLearning courses
Does the content also cover implementing all of these concepts in distance education classes?
The courses are not specifically designed based on teaching modalities. But we are taking requests!
There is a Connect community for DE and Instructional Design that has been a great resource for me for DE
I def don’t think they should be designed around modalities—there may need to be some mention of how to adapt the concepts in the online environment when relevant. Super interested in the Connect community for DE/Instructional Design! :)
Cayden- can you put the link to register for the integration webinar? I don’t have it.
If you are interested in attending the June 11th webinar, you can register here: https://cccconfer.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Wc8R9fVrS42yeYje_pNtBA
Online teaching needs to be mindfully folded into the content in development, I fully agree. Too often, online education it is still marginalized, while more than 24% of our system enrollments now come from online courses. As you may know, @ONE is currently offering online courses that support Culturally Responsive Teaching in the online environment. Hoping we can link these courses into the VRC soon!
We would love that! I know our Content Manager has reached out to @One to move that forward.
That would be great!
Hi Kelly. The @ONE courses you showed are self-paced courses (which are free). Would it also be possible to link to @ONE courses that are *facilitated* (and are not free)?
Yes. It is for PD for the professionals on your campus. Yes, you can create your own content and provide it to your campus.
Can you respond to the Michelle Pacansky question? Do you know what she's asking?
I think the answer is no, but am unsure.
Let me punt it to Kelly too.
Thanks so much.
Just a clarifying note to what Kelly said. As she explained, the facilitated trainings need to be loaded as events in the calendar. The calendar hasn't yet been turned on for the statewide instance. We are in the process of working with the CO to determine the ways they want it to be used and limited. It will be going live, we believe on or around August 1st. So, we can start talking about getting your courses up. I don't know if we will be able to post courses that have costs that aren't directly payable to the CO. We can talk more about it in the coming months.
Hi everyone. We only have 8 minutes left. Please post your questions so we can respond to them.
