Curating and Publishing OER Resources - An In-Depth Look at Three Platforms - OER Commons - Shared screen with speaker view
If there is creative commons material out there that does not appear on the search can you transfer CC OER into this platform??
When we do an OER commons search, will all data within a hub show up even if we are not members of that hub?
We all have hubs already set up for CCCs.
Yes, Shagun, in a hub, they will show up in all of OER Commons also. (This is Lisa from ISKME answering)
Do hubs allow for interaction/discussion for its members?
Can you respond to my question at the top please
Thank you :)
You might need to refresh your screen shre
screen not showing
cannot see the screen
If your question hasn't yet been answered from chat, can you please restate it here? Thanks!
It said that the remix would be in “my items” can that also be sent out?
can you import in any file type and make it editable?
to the public
great to know. Thank you
Can I then run an accesibility check within the editing mode?
How does the editing tool work in terms of video and images
Great info! Thank you. I feel like I can do this
can you list the type of exports again? I missed if PDF for print was an option.
How can we access the recording of this session?
Yes, PDF, Scorm, EPUB3
and common cartridge
We’ll send you information about the archive. ASCCC will.
what is EPUB3?
how does pdf look when printed? sometimes converting to pdf makes the printing wonky
For incarcerated students who would need a print copy (no access to Internet), is the instructor allowed to print resources or chapters of textbooks until those incarcerated students get their textbooks?
most of this has a Creative Commons Lisence so it if fine to print it...that is why with the prison program we want instructors to use OER
Where is the textbook link on OER Commons?
I guess you can filter, yes.
There are a couple ways to do this--as Mindy is showing.
We also have a textbook Hub
And are adding to those all the time.
ok under the hub, thanks.
We are also looking for more interoperability--for example, the Austin CC textbook was in Lumen platform.
And we hope to be able to do this with Pressbooks soon as well.
Thanks so much for joining us.
Thank you - great info
The idea is to have the utmost interoperability--for remixing and redistribution
Thank you, have a great day!
