Dolores Huerta: Revolution in the Fields/Revolución en los Campos
The Smithsonian Institution's exhibition, Dolores Huerta: Revolution in the Fields / Revolución en los Campos, shares the compelling story of legendary activist and leader Dolores Huerta (b.1930) and the farm workers movement of the 1960s and 70s. It is a quintessentially American tale of struggle and sacrifice, of courage and victory, and the Smithsonian exhibition celebrating Dolores Huerta's life and work is currently visiting the Bakersfield College Jones Gallery and will be available for online virtual tours.

Join us for a conversation between Dolores Huerta and Dr. Taina Caragol, Curator of Latino Art & History at the Smithsonian Institution. This event is fee and open to the public, and it is co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the Dolores Huerta Foundation, the Wylie and May Louise Jones Art Gallery at Bakersfield College, and the Norman Levan Center for the Humanities at Bakersfield College.
